Yes, it’s a practical form of the patriarchy going on in every minute and there’s not much human who are not upholding it. Maybe we do consider some theories to support feminism and fight against patriarchy, but we too are somehow organised by patriarchy itself.
In the case of choosing job, maybe yes we’re struggling against the whole society, to achieve what we once dreamt but is it truly a decision made only by ourselves?
Cause whatever rebellion we come for, it’s the same society where we brought up. Yes we have dreamt but our dreams are also affected by the patriarchy itself.
First, for all those girls who started and inspired by someone from their family or someone else from outside, whether it’s men or women, how can they be sure that their idol is not upholding the patriarchy?
Even if we think as a child he/she doesn’t have a fur knowledge about those social issues, they accept and think what they are being taught without any discrimination. But as we know we’re always taught in the basis of these social norms. Then how can we claim our thoughts or dreams are not upholding that same patriarchy?
Most of us initially go for a choice, already made or expected from us by our family. Maybe without a single thought, we’re accepting it as we know being independent is really an important issue in our lives and for women empowerment too. But we never give it a thought if it’s too are just a support system of those long held patriarchy or not.
In our own family, we’ve been taught that jobs are decided too in the basis of gender. What a girl should do and what her future should look like, is already preassumed. And in future most of us accept that decision, knowing that parents are thinking for our best, willingly or unwillingly. This is where lies the norms of patriarchy. And the main problem with us, that we’re always afraid of experiencing tragedy. It’s an advice for all the girls, explore yourselves, gather experience and then decide what you actually want to do. Because your job is going to be with you for most of your life. So never choose anything just because it’s said.

This is a vital fact to avoid that how pandemic worsen women empowerment. As everyone of us know that maximum number of employees are getting Substracted amid pandemic. Economy is getting worse. In such cases, working women are facing inevitable problem too.
Among the employees, women are mostly identified as weak and inferior. So in the name of lessen employees, companies are erasing working women.
As a result, the women who were mostly depending on their job, getting a lot of problems in their household.
Women who are living alone are facing money problem while women who are living with her in-laws are facing insulting behaviors.
Pandemic brings children and their education at home. In this case Women are always expected to look after children and their education. For non-working women, it brings a lot of pressure as they are expected to look after each member of family 24×7 while working women are still expected to perform that with their own jobs. And doing work from home, with a unsupportive family is getting a big challenge.
With all of these pressure, society don’t even consider mental health issues of women. Constant pressure is resulting in depression and anxiety.
Global survey found that nearly 7 out of 10 women, who have faced negative shifts in their routines, believe their career progression is slowing down.
The result of pandemic don’t only affected economically but also mentally. While remembering the social issues, we can’t forget this side too as women empowerment is a necessity for current society and can’t be subsided. Companies are requested to think and take care about their female employees too. And to all the fighters of feminism, are advised not to give up on this issues . Hope these surveys will be of great help.

Whether it’s before 19 th century or after, women sre always vulnerable even in their own home, then how can we expect to be safe at their workplace? It’s the shameful patriarchal norms going on our society. Women were usually not allowed to go outside and even some people see it as a serious crime for women to go outside. It’s insisted that it is their fault and thus they are provoking rapist and welcome rape in their own desire.
However as we know that being educated and getting a job for being financially independent is not the last thing for women empowerment, even you can say it as a primary step. Why?
Because after this, the real struggle get started. Men , with their wolf eyes, will scrutinized your body. From unwilling touch to sex threat you’ll experience it all.
And atlast you’ll get to meet plenty of men and the insects of our society, who make you believe that your decision about yourself is totally wrong.
Again, if that’s not it , you have to experience rape and even death by your own co-workers.
Yes, not all men but we have plenty of examples why it’s most of them.
Forest Ranger Officer (RFO) Deepali Chavan, known as “*Lady Singham*”, died by suicide . From a letter , directly sent to her husband and ms, Reddy, Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forest, we get to know that she was physically and mentally abused by Vinod Shivkumar, Deputy Conservator of Forest.
In 1992,four upper caste men raped Bhanwari Devi to stop child marriage. This case resulted in making Vishakha Guidelines.
It’s very sad to declare that, despite of having POSH act( 2013) to protect women workers from sexual harassment which says to organize two committee in every company, having more than ten workers, to help the women who are facing sexual issues.
Whether it’s on field work on forest department or army or any business company, women mostly want to stay away from it and sexual harassment is obviously one of the causes. And yes, it’s the cruel reality of working women and their safety in today’s world.

Yes, this is where the modern problem has started. Most of us are aware about social media platforms. You do a crazy thing and it can be viral in the fraction of minutes, not giving you enough time to think about what you have already done and whether you wanted to share it or not. And most of the people are taking advantage of that. And with these, many type of thoughts are continuously being added to the real thought of feminism. Some of them are adding more motivation to it while most of them are actually the contrast of the main thing.
Ok so, what’s the feminism movement actually is.
It’s basically a movement with a motive of establishing a society where every gender can walk freely, can smile freely ,can fulfill their wishes and of course with their own identity. There will be no social, political, sexual discrimination.

Now most of us, are going on with the illusion that feminism movement means insulting men or torture men. Even some female are claiming to have all the benefits, whether it’s for seat reservation in bus, metro or in a exam. Some are claiming to get free financial benefits too.
They can’t be touched even if they are wrong it’s what they are believing and with the legal allowance of insulting or treating anyone bad. In today’s world it’s very generous of the people to help and have the side of women, whenever she is in disadvantage against a man. But it’s also seen in some cases, women are taking this advantage to make their ego satisfied.
It’s a shame to feminism itself.
We’re making feminism as a gender opposite of what we’re actually fighting against, patriarchy.
It’s never an trial of condemning the men.
So, yes more of thought added a different meaning to feminism. To stop that, we must focus to expand the thought among the society and make our media contents gender free, whether it’s appraising male or female, it should be banned. To lead a world without gender discrimination, we have to change the thinking first, we have to accept human as human first.

Yes, I strongly believe in this concept.
First let us be clear what are the core of the concepts.
Patriarchy makes a society which is strongly supervised or you can say dominated by male. While feminism come against the theory of patriarchy which demands equal rights of men and women.

Due to most of the patriarchal behaviors going on and on, make female believe that they are always inferior. In the other hand, male society lack manners to behave well. They’re never told about asking permission, whether it’s from his mother, sister, wife or someone else. This behavior make them arrogant.
And of course all of us are aware of what happened next. Domestic violence, sexual harassment is the explicit truth of our world.
Whether it’s about some middle class men to the utmost higher ranked officers, they denies to take order from women. As a result female leadership can’t make a stand in our parliament. There’s no voice to talk alongside of women.
These patriarchal norms make us believe how much unsafe are our women are if they step outside, which is again from the men due to patriarchy. Women are not allowed to be strong, to do jobs which needs much physical activity. They never get the chance of trying.
Parents are disheartened because of a girl child birth. As the thought is already deeply rooted that doing household chores are the only duty girl has and arranging her marriage is the last duty they have as a parent.
Continuous women exploitation, child marriage, child molestation are the results of these patriarchy.
As a result half of our society get to be unheard. When we’re aiming for a whole development of our society, we can’t just develope men, women are also from the same society and need to be developed.
Again if we look into many families, we’ll mostly get to see in the middle class families, that securing job is the only option for their finance, education and every necessities. In some crucial state if a husband loses his job or when a husband wants to continue for his passion, his wife is still not allowed to attend a service according to her eligibility. Cursing the wife is normal for our society, but then the male will not be escaped too from bad-mouthing and questions.
In the other words this patriarchy defines that it’s better not to survive at all, rather than let your wife work outside. As a result, not only the family suffer, but also the male get pressurized.

    Now why feminism is better?
Patriarchy not only harms female, but also they are somehow affecting men. As in a patriarchal society, a man himself don’t have a choice of letting go the expectations. It represent a men dominating society, leaving a man no choice other than being that dominator. It’s not only about the female who can’t achieve their dreams due to patriarchal norms, it’s also about those men who can’t fulfill their dreams of attending a less respected job, according to society, as maybe they will earn less or walk on some other paths than what society wants him to .
So many of us must have thought feminism as a solely development or just as opposite of today’s patriarchy is. But it’s not true even a little.
We want a society where a man and woman go side by side, supporting each other.

In the modern world, when men and women are growing up equally and competing against each other, period stigmatization should be severed. It’s very sad to declare that even in the most modern areas of our society have it, saying loud about period is still a bad thing. And these stigmatization lead women where they are unknown to their body functions.
So, first of all let me clear, period is not a disease or not something to feel ashamed for just because it’s source is your vagina. We have to break the long hold stigmatization on it.
Some places still don’t allow women to come inside house in their period. To their families, it’s a request to please understand their situation, it’s the time when she needs to be nursed and leaving her alone isn’t good as periods somehow affect our mind too due to excessive hormonal change.
To the women, who are using old clothes during periods, science has developed and come with many of such product who can ensure you a proper hygiene and without any leakage like menstrual caps. If not it, you can opt for pads. Whatever you are using make sure to not make it last more than 8 hours. And if you are not comfortable with any of these, always go for clean clothes.
Never forget a proper hygiene is absolutely necessary and a improper hygiene can lead to fatal disease like vaginal cancer.
Make sure to clean your vagina every day.
Take a shower and stay fresh.
Eating healthy foods during this period is necessary too as it takes a lot of blood, our body become weaker.
Drink water even if you are not thirsty as water make the blood flow better.
For period pain, you can use a hot bag or a bag full of hot water on your lower abdomen as it prevent any blood clots.
Try not to consume anything which can be caused of vast hormonal change as your body is already suffering from it.
Try to intake more food rich with iron to prevent anemia and have a good menstrual health.
Even if it’s the last thing you will want during periods, but stay active. Go for a mild yoga and exercise or a walk. Active body keep it’s blood flow easily.
Take rest, no need to make yourself do harsh activities. And to the family, try to support her in her pain.

First of all, our society doesn’t even acknowledge the mental illness we have. According to many parents, it’s just another form of throwing tantrum or can be easily resolved by sleeping early and getting up early. And when it comes to women and moreover due to gender discrimination, it’s just like a bluff to them. How can a society, who expect women to serve 24×7, can accept the thought that she can also have a mental breakdown leading to momentarily stop talking and thinking and even can be fatal accident sometimes.
However most women will assure that gender discrimination isn’t something part of their life, it’s something which decides their life.
From childhood, they have seen a society which prevent them to go outside, to play, to talk loud and some women even experienced a father who is never happy because maybe he or his family always wanted a boy , not a girl.
By teenage, she learns how gender discrimination works. How a boy must go outside and she has to help in household chores. For the financially unstable family, girls even experience inferiority among education, lifestyle and some even get married.
With already less education and choices, when they ask why can’t they fulfill their families dreams, why can’t she takes over all the duties, the answer remain same.
    Because you are a girl.
Being a girl neither allows to make them fulfill their dreams, nor to become eligible to fulfill them.
And among all those disparities when one truly succeed to grow, she faces a whisper among society telling her silently that she must be a slut and achieve her dreams by some wrong deeds as women can’t progress without being dependent on men.
Women have to face the fear of losses, experiences of not being loved, failure to fulfill dreams in their whole life. And even after marriage, whether you are doing right or wrong, a woman has to be someone who has to endure everyone’s curse. Whether it’s in a relationship or in a family, women is the one to be blamed.
And after all of these, they are supposed to lead a normal life! How?
Being pressurized to be a perfect goddess to being afraid to be declared as a slut, she has experienced everything in every step.
Most of the teenager girls are suffering from depression, anxiety and it’s recorded that at least one human is committing suicide in every four minutes and the nonlethal suicide behavior is 40 to 60 percent higher in women than men.
To the society, who address their women as goddess, please go and ask your neighbours. Most of the teenage girls are afraid of being checked out with a guy and most of the married women are only living because of their children . Who knows, maybe you’ll find some women who even tried suicide and cursing their lives now.
Please be with each other and stop behaving with men and women. Let everyone be human.
