We can see that continuous patriarchy have already affected our girls in various ways. One of them is in education too. Girls are not considered intelligent enough to teach science or computer.most of women accept it lightly just as they accept patriarchy and if they shows interest then most of them have heard that it’s not a girls job to perform science or computer applications.
However there’s already many organizations who are offering coding courses, specially for women online or ofline, free or paid. Some of them are-

    1. Skillrush- they’re offering an online paid course of python, web development, WordPress, visual design, digital marketing etc.
    2. 23 code street- Offering web development foundations covering html, css, java script.
3.Railgirls- as the name suggests, they are offering rail special coding, to worlwide people, even free of cost.
    4. Girls who code- this is mainly a worldwide company who has taken an initiative to shorten the gender gap in India too, by offering free coding teaching in India.
    5. IBM – They have recently announced to take an initiative with collaboration of Indian Government to teach 2 lakh students in STEM field, has already started their journey through Andhrapradesh, Telangana, karnataka and hope to expand in other cities too.
6.Women who code- it’s a global organization who wants to women engineers to get inspired in coding.
7.Codebar.io – they provide html, java or some other coaching classes, not only to women, but also the people under LGBTQ community who are strongly ignored in our society.
    8. Girls who code- organisation like this are even offering scholarship to women to make them inspired for coding.
    9. Lesbians who tech- without above, there is another organization ‘ Lesbians who tech’ who are specially concentrating on our LGBTQ community.
There’s even more website who offers coding classes. Search google, make yourself clear about what class suits you, what matches your conditions. You can find easily an trustworthy website. Check the reviews and go for it.

There are numerous coding courses available online as well as offline. But many of them focuses on the education of boys only as they believe boy’s can do much better in this field and underestimate girls . But they are people who realise the ability of women and now there are numerous coding courses now which are available for girls also some of them are listed below:-
1- Coding Girls:- The aims to be the solution to today’s problem of female under-representation in technology-related jobs. Although studies show that young girls are just as interested as boys are in technology and coding, lack of public resources and visible support causes their interest to decline once they hit their teenage years.
2-Girls Who Code :- It is a non-profit organization that aims to “inspire, educate, and prepare” young women for coding careers and/or general STEM careers. This initiative has partnered with a wealth of leading educators, engineers, and entrepreneurs to equip young girls with the tools, skills, and practical knowledge they need to pursue recognized, high-paying occupations in the technological field. IN 1995, 37% of all registered computer scientists were women. Today, that number has dropped to 24%. Girls Who Code has made it their mission to stop that decline and reverse it.
3-100 Girls of Code:- Dedicated to serving aspiring female software developers, engineers, and designers, 100 Girls of Code connects young girls between the ages of 12 to 18 with STEM professionals, educators, and guest speakers in the hopes of inspiring them to pursue careers in coding, computer science, and computer engineering. They invest in future female leaders and computer scientists by offering them opportunities to explore, experiment, and create codes through free workshops and seminars.
4- Girl Develop It:- Founded in 2010 by Vanessa Hurst and Sara Chips in New York City, Girl Develop It is a non-profit organization that started out as a general response to the low representation of women in tech and computer science careers . This class sold out in 24 hours.
5- Code First Girls:- Girls mainly holds free workshops for girls at college campuses. These classes take place for a few hours a week and last for 4-8 weeks. IN order to apply for a course, you must be between the ages of 18 and 23, a current university student, or have been at university in the last two years. You must also identify as female/non-binary and have a working laptop/desktop

With female empowerment and gender equality being such hot topics today, it’s no surprise that so many people have responded accordingly. So if your daughter, sister, or female friend is even just the slightest bit curious about coding, you can rest assured there are certified resources and communities available to help them out.

Coding or scripting is the creation of a set of instructions for a computer application, browser or a robot to perform a particular task. Without coding, even the most basic of digital actions would be impossible to execute. It goes without saying that coding has become fundamental to digital literacy. Ever since the onset of digital revolution, every aspect of our lives has become intricately woven with technology. From heavy duty tasks such as large-scale management to quotidian activities such as reading or shopping, the digital revolution has percolated our lives. The increasingly pervasive presence of technology provides enough proof for the expanding scope of coding. The World Economic Forum states that nearly 30% of us have to learn new skills in order to get better jobs and coding is unarguably one among them.

    Why learn Coding?
The importance of coding has been recognised across the job positions of Information Technology (IT) worker, Data Analysts, Artists and Designers, Engineers and Scientists. In a country like India where start-ups are booming, it is considered economically unwise to hire employees exclusively for coding. So regardless of which of these fields you work in, adding coding to your list of skills will make you stand out from the crowd.

It is expected that the next decade will witness a decrease in the number of computer science graduates qualified for coding positions. So it becomes all the more important to learn coding and learn it right. Here are a few organization offering courses that are popular among coding learners.

Girls Who Code- This organisation has dedicated itself to closing the gender gap in tech fields. Guided by the values of bravery, sisterhood and activism the organisation has an inclusive policy that incorporates diversity, equity and inclusion in its mission. With a pan-India presence, their clubs, college loops and summer immersion programmes are worth exploring.

SkillCrush provides online classes on coding and it is estimated that women make up a majority of their student population. Since it is online, it allows self-paced learning and a lot of flexibility. The courses are project-based and mentor led so that learning happens through hands on experience.

upGrad is a popular higher education platform that provides intensive courses on coding. Teamed with world class faculty, the courses offered are industry–relevant and provide a comprehensive learning experience.

BridgeLabz focuses on experiential learning with a unique 1:10 mentorship ratio. They boast of a hands-on learning experience with successful placement of 2500+ engineers.

Given how dependent current society is on technology, it makes sense that occupations and careers in related fields would be largely in-demand. Sadly, the gender difference in addressing this demand is rather obvious. In this industry, male designers, developers, and computer engineers are widely known. The females are typically under-represented, on the other side. A lack of resources and assistance is said to be attributed to several. It was not precisely encouraged to code girls 10 or fifteen years ago. Fortunately, we have changed times. Increasing numbers of organizations, platforms, and nonprofit efforts have resolved to tackle this important issue, notably allowing women complete access to code-learning chances and maybe carrying out a profession. We have chosen to examine the best plan for your child and present you with the information you need.

    1. CodaKid
Professional computing languages such as Python and Javascript are taught by CodaKid kids with the same tools like Google, Facebook, and Intel. Girls learn programming through entertaining games with technologies such as Minecraft, Roblox, Scratch, Unreal Engine, and more with a wide choice of courses (all of which are available online!)! The best thing? You get access by clicking on a button to professional mentor support!

    2. Coding Girls
In order to enhance female participation in technology, leadership, and entrepreneurship, this gender-neutral group seeks to. To accomplish so, they provide code for girls’ programs and activities aimed at girls’ leadership positions. Their workshops and courses all focus on their vision for an inclusive and varied future with female technology pioneers and industrial game-changers.

    3. Skillcrus
Skillcrush may not simply be coding for ladies, but 75% of its students are women. This is due to the fact that Skillcrush promotes technological power to empower people of all kinds from varied backgrounds. It’s “tech for everybody,” they think, and anyone can learn how to code regardless of race or gender. Skillcrush emphasizes the excitement and practical parts of the coding as well. Learning how to code can open a wide variety of possibilities and high-value, flexible job options for their students.

    4. Girls Who Code
Girls Who Code is a gainful organization aimed at inspiring, educating, and preparing young women for professional coding and/or STEM fields in general. This organization has teamed with a variety of renowned educators, engineers, and entrepreneurs who have the means, skills, and practical knowledge needed for young girls to pursue recognized high-paying technical careers. 37% of registered informatics professionals were women in 1995. This figure has today declined to 24%. It is the task of Girls Who Code to stop and reverse this slide. This program, established by Reshma Saujani in 2012, focuses on dramatizing women’s representation in coding and computers.

    5. Code.org
In addition to catering for ladies, Code.org also devoted itself to free curricula and open-source technology. This makes its contents entirely free to use and are freely licenced, from curriculum resources to step-by-step instructions. It is incredibly easy to use authored courses and guidelines for noncommercial reasons for parents, instructors, and educators. This also allows students to freely use Code.org content for their own personal study and training so long as they have received it lawfully and through their official website.
