Innovative ideas for gender equality
Gender equality is the state of equal access to things like education, opportunities, resources, liberty, etc. to everyone regardless of their sex or gender. It is also called equality of sexes. Looking at the current scenario from all aspects, our society still lags behind in social understanding and acceptances as compared to other developmental and advancing features. While men are considered superior by everyone in the society, women are underestimated and looked down upon. Women are objectified and seen as a commodity. They are tortured, not only physically, but also mentally and it is sad to see our society in this state.
A number of social activists, reformers, feminists and responsible citizens have made efforts to make gender equality a real thing in our society in the past, yet our society finds it difficult to understand and grasp new things. In order to promote gender equality and change it into a reality from just a dream, we need lots of innovative ideas that turn out to be efficient. If the youth of the nation tries to look into the matter and gives it a thought, the innovative ideas that will then come up will be the ones causing a revolution.
I believe the first place where this change needs to be brought, is the minds of people. It is the glassroot level and if we are successful in curbing gender based discrimination in the minds of people, it will become a lot more easier to make changes at a higher level. We not only need to organize awareness campaigns and camps, but also make people aware of how well our women are doing in each and every field in the present times. Also, girls and women at home need to speak up against discrimination and need to make a place for themselves out there without being dependent on men.
On a larger scale, we require the government to make proper policies and schemes that would help women prosper not more than men, but equal to men. Discrimination against women should be declared a punishable crime and there should be reservation for women in institutions and work places, without looking down upon women or without making women feel worse about what is already bad enough. Women should be treated with respect.

Shubhangini ShaktawatJune 29, 2021 at 8:49 pm #32873Women have suffered gender inequality a lot now it’s time to eradicate the gender inequality from Indian society, gender equality means access to equal opportunity, same behavior, and liberty, treating equally without any gender differences. we can bring this change by teaching a male child to do household work nurturing the value household chores are not only for females but for everyone. This will form a habit in them. We can vote for women if they are sending in elections or starting any campaigns, if we see any abuse on women as a part of society, we should support her encourage them to fight for justice. We can help women so they can gain power very few countries have their females in lead. Encourage her to show up as a strong and bold opinionated person, this will be equality towards both male-female both. If we see women are not getting an opportunity at the workplace because they are female will not able to handle pressure changing this mindset making women get the opportunity. Provide equal wages or fight for giving equal earning to both without any biases. Companies need to hire the same number of men and women in companies and the banking sector this will help to promote gender equality. Promoting gender-neutral behavior in the classroom. Creating awareness in women, by making women known what policies did UN has made for them. if gender equality started showing up in our country it will be a big achievement for our country. For those men who need to drop their male ego sometimes, women need stop acting as the weaker sex in society and start fighting for equality and even the LGBTQ community needs to do the same as women. I hope we will see this positive change in next few years and can give our future generation country where all gender is treated with equality.
July 1, 2021 at 10:29 am #32890The COVID-19 pandemic this year has decades of equal treatment for women, and the figures are very shocking. Even before the epidemic was in full economic parity, far more women companies were closed this year than males. Women accounted for 90% of officials who lost their positions in December 2020. Domestic violence against women has surged in most countries throughout the world. In recent decades, much work has been done to make the way we live more equitable because the burden of caring is disproportionately shared by women. The contribution of women innovators, designers, and artists has benefitted companies all around the world. But evidence shows that the intellectual property system is used by fewer women than men. The gender gap is of importance for many reasons; probably most of all because equality between women and men is a human right, and because we are better able to contribute to innovation and creativity when women and girls are empowered. The motors for human advancement are innovation and creativity. We mean innovation, new products, or new methods to do things and creativity, for example in songs, books, images, cinemas, and other emerging media, we mean new forms of artistic expression as portrayed. Innovative and creative females and males have revolutionized our planet by means of their imagination since the beginning of time. And today, new innovations and artistic forms are making an extraordinary transformation of our life. Today’s products are the result of years of study, development, testing, and creation. They are all inventions of the human mind. It is thus supporting innovation and creativity is in all our interests. This is the goal of the system of intellectual property (IP). There are many various sorts of IP rights, such as inventions, designs, and creative works. Generally speaking, they fulfill one of the major purposes: to promote greater invention and creativity by ensuring that inventors and creators may receive fair compensation and live off their labor.
July 6, 2021 at 7:46 pm #32978Gender inequality happens due to not treating men and women in a equal manner. In our society, women are the one who are suffering more from gender inequality than men. To promote gender equality between men and women their should be equal opportunities and responsibilities for both. From childhood girls are the one who ask to learn household chores and cooking whereas boys are ask to concentrate on their studies instead parents should ask both girls and boys to learn household chores and cooking. Parents should equally treat their daughter and son for their education like both should be encourage to focus on their studies and hardwork to achieve their career goals. Their should be awareness about importance of girls education. In classroom also teachers should promote gender equality by giving equal chance to both boys and girls in projects, leadership, activities, etc, and teachers should see to that they treat every student equally without making comparison. At workplace men are given priority for job opportunities than women. Companies should give equal priority and opportunities to both men and women with equal pay. After marriage men and women both should do household chores and cooking together and both should take responsibility towards taking care of their family. Not only mother’s are responsible to look after child for studies and activities both father and mother are responsible to look after their child education. In rural areas their are parents who don’t believe in daughter’s education but they support their son for education due to which many girls don’t get opportunity to fulfill their dream. Their should campaigns and organizations to make awareness about girls education than atleast some girls will get chance to fulfill their career goals. Society should not make gender inequality towards women they should stop make comparisons between men and women instead they should support women for their career and treat them equally like men.
July 15, 2021 at 11:43 pm #33127Let’s face it, we all are biased. There is no need to get defensive. We are built to be biased. The natural tendency to perceive things differently develops shortcuts. That robin is these shortcuts when applied to people can result in bias. How do we avoid unconscious bias to build a better society? Behavioural design offers a new solution to collapsed gender inequality in our lifetime. What if we could make it easier for power bi is mine is to get things right by changing our organisations? For example, in the 1970s major US orchestras made an indigenous discovery by adding a simple curtain to the audition process that allowed them to listen to the music rather than judge musicians based on their looks. Not only did they acquire better talent but the fraction of female musicians grew by more than 30 percentage. Simple solutions like this can also de-bias our workplace. Simply removing the names of our resumes gets a lot of bias out of the way and allows us access to the full talent of the candidates. Research has shown that comparing candidates to each other rather than the imaginary stereotypical applicant calibrates our mind to the best rather than those who we think looks the part. Behavioural designs like this have doubled the fraction of women on the boards of the UK’s largest companies in a very short amount of time. Seeing women in leadership whether in the business of politics changes what people think is possible for their daughters and themselves. In 1993, India mandated one-third of seats to be reserved for women two servers elected leaders to the local level. This not only offered new insights into public policy but also encourage women to speak up in community meetings and seeing women work made it more likely for girls in the community to stay in school, marry later and delay having their first child. This kind of gives way to the phrase ‘seeing is believing. Many organisations including Harvard have taken this to heart by hanging up more portraits of female role models. We can try changing who we look up to on our walls. It’s time to face it, we are biased. But we also can design around it if we have the research and tools to cheaply and quickly design how we work, learn and live. It’s not only the bright thing but also a smart thing to do. Now it’s up to us to change how we perceive the world.
