This is quite the stigma that has been followed in each household in India. Women are often told and made to learn the household work such as laundry, dishes and cooking. While it is expected from the men to go out and do works that are related to the outer world such as earning money for the family.

This is a rudimentary concept that has been prevailing for centuries. Its a deeply rooted stigma in the society which compels young girls to learn house chores before they learn concepts of mathematics in order to get married at the ‘right time’ and to the ‘right person’ while on the other side, young boys are motivated to put in their young tender minds into studying and are provided with best education oppurtunities. Practices like these are especially prevalent in the rural areas. Therefore, Women naturally become better in household work while men become the bread earners for the family.
However, this perception has undergone tremendous change wherein we see women taking over the world ranging from various spheres from education sector itself to diplomacy. The current President of India is a women and so is India’s permanent representative to the UN. Examples like these serve as evidence to the above said. Women leaders are more transformational than men leaders. They function as a role model for their subordinates. They inspire their team and spend a lot of time coaching their team. They care a lot about their personal development. Women tend to display high levels of compassion and team-building skills. Additionally, women leaders are able to view situations from many different perspectives, enhancing their persuasive ability and making them better at persuasion than males. Women are also said to like a challenge.
Hence the current society is rejecting the notion that women should rear children and take care of the household at the expense of their careers and lives altogether.
