No, still women are not sufficiently aware of the symptoms of breast cancer. The Breast Cancer Awareness Month is organised in every October in world that helps to increase attention and awareness among women. It’s a good initiative.
Breast cancer is the most common cancer in the world. Still there is not sufficient knowledge on the causes of breast cancer. But when breast cancer is detected early and if proper medical facilities and treatment are provided then there is a good chance that it can be cured. If it is detected late then curative treatment is not often possible. If women see any change in the size or shape of the breast, or have pain in area near breast then they can contact to the doctor. Breast cancer awareness also includes noticing changes in the nipple. They must be completely aware of all the symptoms of breast cancer. So if they are suffering from the breast cancer they can know it early and have a good treatment and be a breast cancer survivor. They can also prove an example for other women. They can create more awareness.
Most women are aware of breast cancer as a disease but its depth knowledge was poor and they don’t know the exact symptoms of it. More publicity, movements and programmes are necessary to increase breast cancer awareness in today’s generation. So, they can be sufficiently aware of the symptoms of breast cancer.
