‘Women Exploitation in Modern Society’
How bad the life of women in modern world has been, we hear about forced marriages, drive bans, sexual harassment, the list just goes on & on. There is no doubt that the modern world believes in gender equality. The society is getting modern day by day but still, why we are facing bizarre situation like twelve year old girls dying while giving birth to a child, where 91% Egyptian girls and women have to get their genitals mutilated, when sixteen year old girls are forced to marry their rapist in Morocco, where eight year old girls are raped by a teen age boys in India. We are living in a misogynistic society where gender equality is on paper but there is no implementation. The significant question that arise is “Does men hate women?”
There is a need for social as well as a sexual revolution through out the globe, if were are going revolution and uprising right now that are about freedom and dignity the chance of are revolution are bread liberty and social justice you can’t have any of those thing when half of your population is treated terribly . Women exploitation , sexual harassment is not a recent origin, it has its trace since ancient times, people believe and worship women goddesses still such a misogynist and hypocritical behaviour. A women’s body is not just a discrete body part neither it is just a vagina or a piece of flesh that you can act upon the way it is shown in pornography. This kind of misinterpretation of by can lead into them becoming rapists, ill tretaing women, getting into sex trafficking, looking down on them etc. Therefore, as a conclusion I would like to say “Human rights are women rights and women rights are human rights.”
