To fill the gender gap, it is important that girls and women acquire coding skills. What do you think?
Computer coding is a male-dominated sector. Still STEM jobs are not considered for women. Even now in this technology world only 18% of computer science majors are women. We can do better at girls learning code. Girls should learn how to code for their betterment. By learning code at an early age, girls develop a better grasp for the technology, which helps them find better solutions and manage failure. Coding helps girls with academic performance and problem solving. Girls that learn to code are able to improve in a range of educational topics such as mathematics, writing, and creativity. This coding process can help girls in developing english skills as well as help in applying mathematics concept in real life problem solving. Coding also helps girls in their future career. They will earn much better than the females working in non-tech sector. Coding can also help girls in empowering. A girl can be an example for many and this will help more girls learning coding. By working on apps, robotics, and other computing programs girls could help in shaping their future for the better education, health and energy sectors. Learning to read and write code gives girls the ability to face challenges head-on and learn from their mistakes. Coding also encourages logical reasoning and critical thinking as it breaks large problems into small manageable tasks. Still the highest paying jobs is in STEM. By encouraging women to participate in coding it will increase their earnings in STEM job. Ultimately this will reduce the pay gap and boost the average woman’s pay significantly. Society needs to take their step forward in this issue.
We’ve all heard alot about coding and know that it has to do with computers and how they process the information we see. It is a skill basically used to develop websites and apps for different purposes, without it, we’d have none of the most popular technology we’ve come to rely on such as Facebook, our smartphones, the browser we choose to view our favorite blogs, or even the blogs themselves. It all runs on code.
But, our society believes that fields related to technology, engineering, computers are made for boys only. Girls are considered to be unworthy of such fields. Gladly, in the present era, girls have been excelling so much in the fields like, coding and technology that every person who doubted a woman’s ability is shocked to see her doing so well in such fields. Mostly, everyone in the society is today motivated to make their daughters learn the technological skills like coding.
By learning code at an early age, girls develop a better grasp for the technology, which helps them find better solutions and manage failure. Teaching girls to code gives children the chance to experience the feeling of failure, so that they learn not to give up when something doesn’t work out, but rather begin again.
Coding is a very powerful way of empowering women in today’s society. It also means the process or activity of writing computer programs. Coding is something that is transforming the world around us yet it’s still this abstract idea for many people. Assuming that we started with 50- 50 students taking STEM by the time we get to mid-level career represent only 7% of the workforce. Coding at its core is a language. It’s not easy to learn but it’s incredible opportunities. It can be applied in really creative ways. Learning to code not only opens one’s eyes to numerous businesses but also incredible inventions. Coding is a new form of literacy but numerous girls and women are not exposed to that. Historically girls have been self-selected out and there’s not enough access to education for many girls. In numerous places all over the world, there is no stream called computer science in schools. Women learning to code can help build a nation’s economy. When computers started arriving at homes generally the boys were given access to it and girls wear thought to be incapable of using computers. This trend continued and it still believes that women are not so good at technology or coding. They should learn to code because it helps them develop confidence within themselves. It helps them explore new areas of learning. As technology is evolving every day, a career in technology can be of great success. We no longer live in a society where young girls think that they can’t do this. They don’t think that this is a role that women who ever get involved in. There are so many great opportunities, and we see many women entering the high tech space, whether it’s mechanical engineering, software engineering, computer security, etc. Parents should encourage robotics for coding classes for girls and should respect their inquisitiveness.
Coding is a very essential skill and even from a job perspective also we know that everything is going online, coding will help girls lot of ways .there is no pay gap difference who does professional coding male and female are earning the same salary. Coding in the future is going to be the subject for students, so girls after learning coding languages can also teach in schools. There very few women who have created their website and we all know women like to shop and sell, so by coding they can create their own website and can expand their business. Coding will help to increase the logical thinking and critical reasoning which a girl must learn coding is a not difficult language to study. by learning to code the girls will understand better technology. It will also help in the future. We know technology mostly dominated by men, if girls do not give priority to coding then it can create a tech gender gap. Also, coding will be the language of future generations and this revolution is started. There is a lot of organization for learning coding which is teaching coding to the girls for free. Coding will teach you many skills and through this girls can also get a secure job. By learning, girls can get the opportunity to get a job in some of the biggest companies such as google, amazon or Facebook, etc. Girls can be made concrete their website for their business. IT is the fastest growing industry in whole and women should take benefit of this by learning to code.
Computer coding is a sector, in which men have overpowered women with a large margin. Only 18% of women are in tech- centric world .Hence, we require more girls in this field and to make them learn coding.
There are many reasons why a girl must learn to code such as:
1. There are so many things of women which are printed or produce in apps and products.
They are the highest buyers of these apps and products globally.
Only 5% of women creates the tech start-up. When the women designer is missing from the start-up and computer science, we loose a chance of having perspective, opinions and skills of women.
2. Women and men coders are surprisingly paid equally. Yes, we heard it right! It’s a golden opportunity to decrease the pay gap ratio by having more girls coders.
3. Women are surrounded by a bunch of responsibilities, so they need a flexible job to manage their schedule efficiently. Tech companies mostly provide flexible work hours and women can take programming career to maintain a balance in their life.
4. Girls should learn to code at an early age as young girls can grasp technology rapidly and able to find solutions in future very easily. Also, they will manage failure better and can make themselves better with time.
5. Coding enhances logical reasoning and critical thinking as it teaches making hard task into easy ones. Girls are often taught to be nice and well-mannered rather to do something challenging by society , girls can break the norms by learning coding.
Girls can look at the female coders journey and aspire to become coders. We should make them understand that It’s challenging but not impossible and if boys can u can do too.
Finding a coding company that aligns with the aim to promote women coders and have a future endeavors, This will inspire and help young girls to learn code.Nowadays, I think that more and more women are interested in computer programming. There are a lot of famous self-taught programmers who happen to be female. Girls usually like to go into fields in which they can make a real difference, such as law, medicine, and education. Coding offers the possibility of solving problems that help people on an individual basis, which is extremely satisfying. Recently the big picture of women in STEM has been getting some long-overdue attention. The world is suddenly realizing that we’re not making as much progress as we’d like to make in this area. While women receive the majority of all undergraduate and advanced degrees, they are still an underrepresented minority in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields.
Coding is a great skill for girls. It makes them more employable and shows them more career options. Coding gives the ability to see things with logic and think analytically. Coding helps one become a better problem solver. Girls love to play around with computers so why not teach them how to code? Girls should learn computer code at a young age, as it is a vital skill that may help them in the future. Girls need to begin learning to code in high school and continue this skill into college so they can find a job and support themselves.

Their are many organizations and online courses who make easily available the source of learning for girls and women. Their is organization for mothers which named as Mothercoders which encourage mothers to learn coding. Through coding many women can start-ups their own business like creating online websites by learning programming and many more things will get easier for women and girls by learning coding. There are many women who has to sacrifice their career to look after their kids and taking care of family but women who choose coding field they can work online with flexible hours. By learning online coding women and girls are also getting internships through some organizations which will definitely benefit them in future job opportunities. And women and girls who can’t afford the fees of the courses for them there are organizations who give free online coding courses due to which women and girls can learn coding and can make their career in tech field. Girls should learn coding through which they will get to know about tech field and it will sharp their skills and it will also benefit to have good communication skills, thinking creative towards project which will surely help them in job opportunities. Girls and women should give priority to learn coding to fill gender gap in tech field.
