In recent time from last 8-10 years the commercial ad presenting female in male job , Advertising play a main role on changing thinking of people , society .., Advertisements can make the trend also in recent years advertising change the thinking about females , The advertising shows female power in world like athletic , sexual , expert , hard working , family , empowerment… Advertising shows women in a high post of jobs , family head and more this mean women is also capable as man to lead the main role in life , in work , in mission…As we compare last 20 year ad’s with recent time ad’s we can easily see the difference , how advertising presenting female , some research shows that people who like to watch ad’s female receiving high post , female power , Independent , achievements .., they likely to become more inspired to reach their goals in their career rather than thinking stereotypes about females. There are different types of stereotype of women in advertising like domestic obsessive , self less nurturer , sexual objects , unattainable goddess , the fraught juggler , the bit part. From many of us seen that video where a man ask to kid show HOW THE GIRLS RUN AND BOYS RUN and when they ask to run like girls they act like silly walking and when they ask to run like man they act like strong , This is what stereotypes doing to new generation. Commercial ads should not make comparison between men and women or they should not portray like women are weak than men due to which it will put negative impact on audience of gender inequality because of which society thinking will not change towards women that they should be equally treated like men.Manpreet SinghParticipant@manpreetJuly 1, 2021 at 10:36 am #32891
In advertising, gender depictions influence society and gender equality around the world because they can reinforce stereotypes and provide behavioral standards for men and women. Gender role depictions are also crucial creative selections that affect each advertising’s communication aims and the audience’s responses. As such portraits are important in society, several studies looked at gender-role depictions in advertisements in different nations. Because of the impact, they may have on society. A study studied the predictive values of sex-based cultural norms, nation indicators, and product kinds in TV advertising in seven countries for sex-role depictions. The prevalence of the media has led to the notion that advertising plays an important role in shaping and transmitting social values and that several elements influence cultural values, lifestyles, and behaviors in a society. The representation of women in advertising has got a lot of attention over the years. The role of women and ethnic minorities in stereotyping is supported by advertising. Publications reflect that women are not doing significant things, are reliant on men, lack of uniqueness is considered largely by men as sexual objects, are concerned with beauty and maternity, and should be at home. Announcements reflect our beliefs and shape them. Therefore, the representations of the women’s community must be accurate and true. Advertisers should portray and not only be attentive to women in various roles in order to impact purchasing behavior. According to the law, no publicity is allowed, which breaches the constitutional guarantee of all citizens in its portrayal of women, such as equal status, equal opportunities, and dignity of a person. Many advertising is quite reprehensible since it undermines moral and ethical principles. Some publicity is so unseen in the home; its social ideals are undermined, its attention distracted and its youth corrupted.

Advertising is the source through which we influence the audience so we need to be very serious about what we show to our audience and what message we want to give, to show women doing male jobs, one can show other roles rather than this or also we can show that man is doing household this will influence that doing household duties is gender-neutral, or show women how handling her work and home at the same times they are many roles that women are performing. women are always seen making tiffin for men or pleasing men. women have a lot more jobs instead of doing this. Gender equality is very important how to showcase women, advertising agencies keep this thing mind before writing an ad for brands because that’s how we will bring change in society, promoting gender neutrality is very important, women should not accept or if anybody thinks to add is giving the wrong message to the people they can sign the petition and join the people who also have objection on the advertisement this will also educate people, and television ads are seen every so it is best option to promote by bringing the change. Gender roles are various we can show them and empower them. brands’ point is right we should give what the audience wants but that will not create change, something new, something different everybody likes. They also get attracted to it their perspective also broadens still some effort we can see in ads. Please stop this they are more options please emphasize it.
