It is very true that major challenges still lie ahead for female students in tertiary institutions. Young ladies are faced with challenges on and off-campus. Since girl students are tending to show up in huge numbers in the institution of higher learning, attention should be paid to how and what is the problem that most of these female students face. It is a challenge for most young ladies who are entering the working terrain, especially in the capital cities. It is very disheartening to note that the rate of unemployment among female graduates persists with little or no improvement, as this implies that most educated female graduates still find it challenging to secure a formal job.

A wide array of challenges envelop college campuses across the globe making a woman’s world a tougher one to navigate within. Regardless of your skin color, religion, education, and whether you come from a developed or developing country, it is an unfortunate reality that there are simply more obstacles for women than for men. Aside from coursework and the day-to-day activities involved with being a student, it is not uncommon for girls to suffer various forms of discrimination. Added to this is the fact that Boys are physically stronger and larger than girls. Boys are taught to find solutions to problems on their own. Boys tend to be independent and fearless. On the other hand, girls are nurtured into submissive, dependent, and fearful personalities.

Historically, college girls used to interact, socialize and develop relationships with their schoolmates. But, today this is changing with the emergence of new challenges experienced by female students in schools. Such problems are so embedded in the system that without serious attempts to remove them, little can be done to improve the situations of college students. The probability of high-interest-rate loans, evasion of the law and lack of criminal punishment for abusers, and the economic pressures on male counterparts of female students should be addressed.

Right now there are so many women still facing sexual assault despite being a student in the university. Most of the time, they did not make an official report regarding what happened to them but in fact, many secretly experience some sort of exploitation. Yes! Because this is so wrong, and if this won’t be stopped somehow then women will continue to be victimized. Thus, universities should designate a room where every student could report such actions and cases about their fellow students. Universities must have a strong stand against every foul behavior towards college girls

CHALLENGES FACED BY FEMALE COLLEGE STUDENTS
Females in each area of her life have to face and are still facing many issues and problems, be it at home, at the workplace, at school, at colleges, etc. College life is a very important phase for each child, and if it comes to girls, then it is more challenging and experiencing everything to them because many girls in some areas and regions are not allowed to study higher education or not allowed to go to colleges because it is still believed that women’s don’t need study more because at the end they have to be at home and manage family.
College life is the most challenging phase for a girl, Although identified challenges range from social-economic to policy and institutional-based, sexual harassment even by male lecturers, cyberbullying among others. Sexual harassment in institutions is the most common challenge as they are pressured to give sexual favors because they are in fear that they might end up failing by lecturers. After this thing happens again the challenge of facing problems in reporting the case arises and the greatest number of girls don’t because they are not aware of how to do it.
Another challenge is economic, it’s at the family level, financial burdens on families may force families to select which of their children to attend school, in most cases being the male child. And parents end up making their male child educate more and girls have to sacrifice. So, we can say that girls before going to college start facing challenges from their home itself.
A challenge of ‘To fit in’ with the students around and with peer also arise for a girl in colleges. There is also the challenge of inadequate and unsafe education infrastructure including sanitation. Lack of water in the toilets is a problem as females require water in those facilities for menstrual hygiene purposes. Traveling from college to home and vice versa is also an issue because some of can’t afford high facilities and so have to travel through public transport and there are few who just find a chance to touch girls or talk to them.
There are many challenges a female college student faces, but it should be ensured that girls are educated on some laws and how to approach a situation. Institutes and colleges should take up the responsibility to ensure a safe environment for all the students so that they reach their academic and professional goals.

Education is one of the most significant parts of every individual’s life. School and college is the best and a valuable experience for most of the students including both girls and boys. But girls have to face most hindrances on their education journey. Girls face a lot of challenges while studying at college. They face problems according to their social setup and they vary among them. However, there are common problems that are faced by girl students during college. Health issues are common as most of the girl students stay away from the home. Outside food is not up to mark and cause them to fall sick very quickly. Unhygienic sanitary conditions are a kind of roadblock for them as they cannot raise such issues easily with the management. Girl students face many social problems as some students found it difficult to mingle with the new people studying in their classes. Social hindrances cause them a lot of mental stress and as a result, they lose focus from the study. Mental health conditions also deteriorate as a result.
Another biggest problem is rural and some urban parents forcing their daughters to undergo early marriages. This causes either new overwhelming responsibilities with the new relationships or discontinuing the study itself in most of the cases. There are other problems also like growing crime rates, which causes concerns regarding safety and security in the education zone for all female students. Girl students face problems of harassment sometimes within the institutes, people outside the institutes. They have to be very careful while coming from their homes to schools and colleges. Moreover, girls living away from home have to suffer from the harassment of hostel authorities. Lastly, they also have to face many financial issues. As, tuition fees of schools, academy fees, daily transport charges, food charges, examination fees, other activities like parties, trips expenses make it very difficult to study by affording all these expenses. For this purpose, some students starting teaching little kids after college which results in a lack of sleep and lack of time for their own study, and the amount of responsibility.
The solution for this purpose is firstly to have a major overhaul regarding the problems that are specifically faced by girls students. And lastly, the parents should encourage their girl child to aim for higher education.

When a girl enter in the college she has to go through many challenges because colleges are not near, some girls have to travel far to reach the colleges, and colleges does not provide travelling facility so everyone have to come on their own while travelling alone girls have to do through stalking, eve teasing , hearing the vulgar comments and then if girls are fresher then ragging happens with them, also sanitation facility college is not that much good because there are so many girls it becomes difficult to maintain hygiene , also girls fall in love with boys than some crack head boys take advantage of girls and make the videos and create fear in girls, college girls have to go through body shaming, they lose self-confidence .also there been cases where male teachers try to sexually harass girl and torture her failing her in exams if she does not do as they want, some girls have to drop the college in between her course because of parents force them to marriage and then continue the studies, in college some girls compares a lot with other girls and also make fake rumors about them to just for fun and character shaming. Girls should select their friends very nicely because wrong friends can also have a very bad effect on them. Some girl’s faces health issues because they eat junk food from the college canteen and also not eating for a long period of time they fall sick easily, girls find it difficult to manage the assignments and do household chores, parents do not allow girls to college night events and educational trips most of the girls don’t like this behavior of parents, I would say a girl should try to enjoy her college life also if something wrong happens with try to discuss with your family and teachers it is very important instead of keeping to suffer in silence.

We must look towards the details to encourage women to do better while striving for an empowered future. One of the common problems looked out by a girl during her college years is the transport services disappoint more than often. Mostly, girls face sexual or physical harassment in public transportations, and still, it goes unnoticed.

The second could be the lack of proper sanitation. Many government and private colleges may have sanitized washrooms, but the availability of sanitary napkins still holds a problem. Thirdly, the social difficulties faced by girls are not welcoming, especially when it is related to appearance, their choice to marry early, or their decision to work while they are studying. One may not want acceptance, but one cannot deny that somewhere in the bottom of the heart, one does want it.

Like I mentioned above about the sexual harassment in public transportation, that is not the only place likely for such incidents. Even in academic institutions or in-and-around colleges, either a girl gets assaulted by any teacher or any other student. The parent’s concern sticks to sending them to colleges that suit their location and time. With the increasing crime rate in the country, it has been difficult for girls to go far away from home and live their life as they want.

Besides the physical pain, stress during college affects mental health as well. In between all the life, the college years of a girl is one of the most challenging phases of life. Thereby, these were some of the challenges faced by female college students during their college years.

A woman’s life is a challenge in itself, they have to go through a lot of hurdles at each and every stage of the life. Nothing comes easy to them, if we talk about the challenges female college student than the first would be the harassment they experience while travelling, in campus, classrooms and sometimes from authorities itself. Even though sometimes the harassment is not the right word to put on the situation, but they do face some incidents which is not acceptable as a man or women.
Due to the adultery changes in their body girls are often going through some or other health issues. They find it hard to deal with the health specially mental health and the studies. All of a sudden they get swamped by lot of works to be done simultaneously. Some household allows girl to study on basis of some condition that if the y will do household chores along with studies that only a girl is free to pursue higher education.
Also, they have hustle for the financial help towards their clothing, travelling, accommodation, food and for expenditure on education. All this can turn their mental health into disaster, and they have to live with this all the time.
Ragging of girls look, clothes, voice and their way of talking is also an easy target for the seniors to make them follow according to their commands. We need to have a friendly environment at colleges and home so that our girls will not be reluctant to talk about their issues and problems.
Lastly, if a girl is educated than she can make a whole generation be educated, so make every girl educated and see to it that no girl is left behind to make it high in education.

Sometimes it’s challenging for female students to cope up even in their college life. We often see some instances where female are molested or ill-treated during their college life. Studying in college is crucial for everyone but when there is insecurity feeling it become hard to survive.
Girls end up their life in fear. Sometimes male teachers ask them for sexual favours and threaten them that if they say no they will destroy their life. In this fear, she comes to a vicious cycle and she is repeatedly exploited and even some times they make their MMS and threaten her. These challenges some time so life-threatening that it leads to suicide or murder.

These instances are often seen with those girls who come from a rural background and northeastern states. These girls are not aware of the trend and they also discriminated against based on education, their face traits and language. They are discriminated against and because of this, they face unfriendly people who exploit them. sometimes these girls become the victim of sex racket they are pushed into a vicious cycle and also relate to human trafficking. In some of the male-dominated colleges, we often see that they do not have separate washrooms for girls even if they have boys use of come. There are no safety measures for girls in school. Boys used to make MMS of girls and leak them this lead to the trend of pornography.

Girls even become the victim of eve-teasing, body shaming and sometimes they even torched on their way of dressing. Even if they compliant about it to their parents or school teachers they face character assassination. They denied going to college and not come late at night. These are some of the evil phases of college life which is the precious part of every student life.

To be honest we have all been through alot of problems in our College days and I am still a college student and I won’t deny that as a girl yes I really am facing a lot of problems.
Very first thing is that as a girl there are really limitations to certain activities as we all know how boys have freedom due to their physical strength which helps them to set a good impression in front of our peers. But for girls these things are to be done in a controlled manner as we all know even if a girl is sitting she is always examined curiously.
To be honest girls are taken very lightly and there are less expectations towards them. I have seen that the attitude towards girls is still irrespective and also not serious enough to give them certain opportunities or even the chances to present themselves is low. Many times I have seen sports, anchoring and many more activities.
There are various issues honestly. Let’s take one of the popular things as elections in college. We have seen how girls are discouraged to fight against boys .
Next come is discrimination and safety issues. There have been numerous incidents where girls are actually not treated respectfully as compared to boys and many a time girls have to try hard to maintain a healthy relationship with their college mates . Also there are some lads and even educators who don’t even have basic manners to speak politely. They even bully girls and try to impose on them. There have been cases where litrally some professors have been taking pictures of students or taking advantage of them .
There are also sort of prejudice issues with the professors and students and the somewhere there are still insecure moment and fear that what if they take revenge. So I would say that still we have long way to go.
