Well honestly I agree with this because there is so big difference with premotion of both the concepts. Patriarchy is something that says that woman is part of man’s life and man is woman’s entire life. According to them, woman is possession and man has every right on her and her life should always be monitored by man andan has all the right to decide for every woman in his life be it his wife , mother, sister or daughter. It promotes women to always have lower status and respect than men.
Whereas feminism is the concept of equality not to put any gender down. Let me tell you feminist doesn’t mean man hating it all about equal right and respect for women.
Equal opportunities , equal pay and make this society realise that we women are also women and we can achieve everything man can achieve. It’s all about making this society aware of our existence and our worth as man himself has been carried out by a woman for 9 months and he has emerged from her yet how ironic that all his life he desperately tries every means to suppress her. But still countless times women have also proved that she is the mother of man no doubt.
Yet this patriarchal society had always tried to hold women back. People think feminism is all about women wanting to be greater than men but feminism is being able to stand shoulder to shoulder with men. To break the image that society had built about women. To break the thought that makeup , creams, fashionable clothes, housework are meant for women and bikes, jeans and office are meant for men. To tell them that women are not only limited to the job of teacher, doctor or whatever table and chair related jobs but we can also be a CEO, pilot , engineer and chef. It’s all about equality.
