According to the WHO report BREAST CANCER, is considered as the top cancer in women – in both developed and developing world . Due to increase life expectancy, increase urbanization and adoption of western lifestyles the cases of breast cancer is increasing day by day in all over the world .
But as the number of cases of breast cancer in women is increasing still the women’s are not aware about the symptoms of breast cancer . In 2020, there were 2.3 million women diagnosed with breast cancer and 685 000 deaths globally. As of the end of 2020, there were 7.8 million women alive who were diagnosed with breast cancer in the past 5 years, making it the world’s most prevalent cancer. But it is not a transferable disease .
According to the survey 81% of women were unaware of even a single symptoms of breast cancer . In ruler and peri- urban areas , only 21.4% women know a single symptom of B.C . It was it stated that many women who are suffering from breast cancer dies because , they are unaware about the symptoms and the breast cancer is reported in last stage where it cannot be treated or where the chance of recovery is very low .
Yeah cancer is very dangerous disease what it doesn’t mean we cannot cure it . Even breast cancer is considered is one of that cancer which can be treated . There is very much chances of patient to live in other type of cancer the patient may die . It is a very painful time for every woman and for her family too I personally experienced this since my aunty also suffered from the breast cancer and her condition is very bad at that time .
Breast cancer arises in the lining cells (epithelium) of the ducts (85%) or lobules (15%) in the glandular tissue of the breast. Initially, the cancerous growth is confined to the duct or lobule where it generally causes no symptoms and has minimal potential for spread (metastasis).
They are total 3 stages of breast cancer .
In 1st stage :-This is often the first symptom of breast cancer. A lump in your breast or underarm that doesn’t go away. Doctor can usually see a lump on a mammogram long before you can see or feel it. Swelling in your armpit or near your collarbone .
2nd stage :- the tumour in this stage measures between 2 cm to 5 cm, or the cancer has spread to the lymph nodes under the arm on the same side as the breast cancer .
3rd stage :-means the cancer has spread beyond the tumour. And there is very less chance of survival .
Precautions:-
The foremost which is issued by the AIIMS hospital is – Women should not wear black colour bra . Not drink alcohol . should not avoid breast feeding . Limit postmenopausal hormone therapy.
This cancer can be treated but only if women are aware about it as many of us are not even aware about the symptoms what are the precautions to be taken before or after knowing or not knowing that person is suffering from breast cancer . So awareness is essential . And we all should try to aware other women also spaced is a poor woman who has not that much of technology to get the information of such thing . Always remember and make other also aware about that lumps in breast is the first symptom of breast cancer .
