“A leader takes people where they want to go. A great leader takes people where they don’t necessarily want to go, but ought to be.” -Rosalynn Carter.
Women are good leaders. They have the leadership skills to improve whatever they set their eyes on. We see an increase in the amount of women becoming leaders. Whether it’s at an office or a parliament, women have always proved that they are good leaders.
In fact, according to many scientific studies, women often do better than men at leadership roles. They excel in understanding, leading, assertiveness and kindness. Men usually are considered to be the opposite so it’s not a surprise that women do it better than men.
Confidence: To be a good leader, one must have confidence. Many women hold themselves back because they are scared of what might happen. Just imagine how many more leaders we would have if women were more confident about themselves. Only if she is positive and confident about her work will she ever be a good leader.
Understanding: The leader has to be understanding. Many leaders lack basic compassion and that is why they are not liked. If she understands other people and listens to them, she will be a good leader.
Doing her job effectively: If she does her job effectively, it will not only be good for her but it would also be good for the people around her.
If a leader has these qualities, it would be good for her. But there are still many who prefer male leaders to female ones because that is what they’re used to. If they gave female leaders a chance, the world would be a better place.
