Bollywood movies have always tried to show women to be weak .In Bollywood movies, it is shown that women marry a man for money and then leave them or kill them. You all must have seen Anil Kapoor and Sridevi movie Judaai which is so popular ,the movie shows how Sridevi sold her husband for money .You all must have seen the Shahid Kapoor movie of Kabir Singh in 2019, he had created a lot of amazing in Bollywood with that but you all saw one thing in it that a woman like this has been shown to be weak in it. A man can do anything on his own strength, he can get his girlfriend to do anything. There is a scene in the movie where Kabir Singh take a knifes and forced another girl to open her clothes. 2 Movie which are hit in Bollywood and the same movie is showing women the week in this way but it is popular even today, it shows that we still have to fight a very big battle and have a big way to go . In Bollywood movies, there will always be a man in a support role with the woman, whether is about the man or about the woman. Movies like Dabangg ,this movie shows how man is protecting society and on one side is Mardaani , it did not get that much support. In the earlier Bollywood movie, it was shown how a woman is completely dependent on her man, how his world revolves around him ,but yes we can say that now time is changing . The picture is being done a little bit correctly, women’s are being shown empowerment but still there are many shortcomings in it, still use a supportive role to show women empowerment.
There are many movies in Bollywood where it is shown that the women of today are very strong like the English vinglish ,mardaani ,Pink, starring Tapsee Pannu and Amitabh Bachchan, was a progressive and empowering film that dealt with the topic of the consent of women. In this way, now Bollywood movie is starting to poultry the women in right way . it is going somewhere in the right direction, but we cannot say that Bollywood movie has always been shown women right .
