Technology plays an important role in creating gender equality in many sectors. Technology has made it easier for everyone of us to follow our paths/careers in the way we want to.Rapid technological development and innovation presents new opportunities as well as new challenges. Knowing that innovation and technology does not automatically benefit all alike, UN Women has included innovation as one of the “drivers of change” in its Strategic Plan 2018–2021. The UN women has proposed this 2018-2021 plan for creating an innovative world with gender equality.Innovation and technology provide unprecedented opportunities to break trends and reach those who are the most likely to be left behind. This is why UN Women has prioritized innovation technology as one of the “drivers of change” within its new draft Strategic Plan, 2018 – 2021. With generous support from the Government of Denmark, UN Women focuses on developing markets for innovations that advance gender equality; integrating gender issues within innovation; promoting women as innovators and entrepreneurs; and investing directly in technology-driven innovative solutions that meet the needs of women and girls, says UN women about the strategic plan for 2018-2021. Hence, the technology and innovation could possibly be one of the best regimes to bring gender equality among the people of the world.

The device from which you work does not care what gender you are. This is why you have to ensure your women have access to equal opportunities in this space, as technology is our ally in a fight for equality. When we see the percentage of women involved in technology we notice that the people creating our world are not representative of our world. This means that women are not invited to the paper in the creation of a new world and our opinions are not heard. We do see when we create some societal impact with technology with the use of apps, that can create a lot of independence and a lot of female entrepreneurship. Technology should be a building block for gender equality and should be having a better future for everyone. Girls need the freedom to experiment, learn and be creative. Half the world is women and companies spend millions of dollars to market to these women. Women are responsible for buying 70 to 80% of consumer products. So they should also be a part of these design teams. We need women working side by side with their male counterparts on product design, engineering, coding and testing so that the products that we use every day are safer and more inclusive. Women are severely underrepresented in the technology feels nationwide. Women need to be aware of these areas of technology. The world needs to increase their confidence to take up careers in these areas. They need motivation in a very different way than it is usually done. They should be encouraged to explore these areas. They have to be shown that people in history are there in these areas who can act as their role models. Coding is generally a problem-solving process that can encourage young girls to never give up.

Technology and innovation are tools that should help us to achieve a better future for everyone. We are currently experiencing the largest technology leap in history. Discoveries happen every day. Several technologies are associated with gender differences, racism, and inequality. When it comes to technology we have both incredible opportunities and challenges ahead of us and a lot of conversations about who will be affected by the solutions, development, and change.

While the ongoing revolution in technology has made this an exciting time to be alive, it’s also a reflection that the world is not the way it’s supposed to be. As an industry, we have to work harder to protect equal opportunities for our women and ensure everyone can enjoy these opportunities equally. We know that there is a need, and a window to change the face of technology. Today we have to ensure that women and girls are part of our next wave of innovation. Startups for gender equality are a growing number of innovative businesses to develop technologies that have an impact in the areas in which women and girls suffer social injustice.

When we look at our system of values, if we want a world that is based on values like equality and justice, I think it’s clear that it’s time for all of us to stand up and do our part. And because we work in technology, maybe it’s easier for us to act upon our values in a meaningful way than if we worked in other sectors. After all, technology is the device through which you’re reading this text right now. Recently, a lot of women have been talking about the issue of inequality concerning gender and technology. It has created some big discussions and even some big successes. The issue is that we don’t want to be just talking here. We want to be working as well.

Gender equality is about understanding and respecting one another’s differences and roles in society. There will never be equality between men and women until the value of the different sexes is equal. Where it comes to technology, one must understand where ideas are coming from so they can be fully understood and accepted into society if necessary. Even though there are no differences, we use this opportunity to give you these ideas about what problems face women in technology. Some similarities face men and women in technology. Technology doesn’t by itself create opportunity but can serve as an amplifier. It’s about how we use technology to expand choices. You can’t build opportunity, you build it with people. Technology keeps the lens focused on female storytellers and their thoughts. It gives a voice to those women who use technology to share their stories and spread awareness about gender equality.

The fast-developing turn of events and advancement in science presents new freedoms along with new difficulties. Realizing that advancement and innovation don’t naturally profit all individuals, the UN Women has included development as one of the “drivers of progress” in its Strategic Plan 2018–2021, so that the tool of technology can be used as a bridge to fill the gender divide. This proposes some of UN Women’s ideas and practices around advancement that could speed up gender orientation uniformity and some strengthening. The accomplishment of the aggressive Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), prominently genders equality and women strengthening, requires groundbreaking movements, coordinated methodologies, and new arrangements. In light of current directions, existing strategies won’t get the job done to accomplish a gender-equal 50-50 by 2030. Creative methodologies that disturb “the same old thing” are key to conveying the SDGs for all. Innovation in technology provides a huge opportunity that can break trends and reach those who are the most likely to be left as minorities. We should focus on developing markets for innovations, that will advance gender equality. It can be done by integrating gender issues and promoting women as the innovators of the new world. By investing directly in technical-driven innovation, solutions should meet the needs of women and girls.
By technical innovations such as the use of smartphones, we can equip our girls with more tools to make them independent. New courses such as data mining, web development, etc can use them to make them more skillful. These technical advances can also be used to make them safer in the time of emergency.
The whole plane and idea need a huge political will in order to push that patriarchal boundary, which many in power are very sensitive about. These technical tools are so abundant that we can easily make a worthy difference in society.

In this pandemic one thing, human learned that technology and digitalization can make things easier for them. This technology evolution is really important so that everyone can enjoy their rights. Today quality education also includes quality digitalization. As all our work now performs through this technology only. Digital opportunity is very important for both male and female. We have seen that there is a digital gender divide which means that girls are getting less opportunity to spend time online than boys. They deprived of studying, online playing, health and wellbeing, leisure.
Digital product and technologies should be design in such as way that girl can avail the opportunity to it without any hesitation as they are many security threats to them such as stalking, harassment etc.
As technology and innovation will be the future for the upcoming generation there should be enhancement of gender equality as well as promoting inclusive society motto. Only 27 per cent of women are using the phone for internet versus 57 per cent boys this instability to be decreased.
Building an infrastructure where there are no loopholes the digital divide is much greater in rural areas than urban area so there should be campaigned for digital learning. This digital revolution will bring out or improve women socially as well as economically. This advancement of digital technology will make work easier for women as it will help them to excess thing from home, they can now look after their family too, they don’t have to stand in a long line they just get things from just a click, bank detail etc become very easy to handle.
Hope in this 21st century we will be able to make the technology which will encourage all and no one will be behind in this society. We will all contribute to this society and make it a better place to live in.

In today’s world, Technology is given so much importance because it makes easier for humans to work faster with different software and shortcuts. We can see that in this COVID-19 pandemic situation, how all the work is done online with smartphones. This makes people more inactive and this will also affect their body because after this pandemic will get over everyone has to work offline and it will be not esay for people to get back into routine. The device which is used for online work will doesn’t make any gender inequality towards women, it will give equal access and opportunities for women. Because of technology many women starting their career by becoming entrepreneur and in that no one will judge her or can’t make comparison with men. The technology will not make difference between gender inequality. It is very great part that women are getting benefited due to technology to open their small business and by doing hardwork towards their business it will definitely achieve their success. Technology helps women to learn different things online because they don’t get support to complete their education, due to technology they will get different courses for learning and will get equal opportunities like men to achieve their career goals. In villages, there are lot of people who aren’t aware about use of technology for that their should be campaign or organization to make them aware about use of technology for education. So that many women in villages will get to know about technology and they can start learning and be independent which will help them in future. In our society there are girls who are not aware of stem skills and it necessary that girls should learn stem skills for their future. Technology has made some changes to improve gender inequality towards women. By using technology many women learning online and doing online business, creating YouTube channel this things are helping women to be an independent person.

Technology is been a blessing for few decades, for everyone, especially for women. Women are started trying their hands on technology which helping them to know information about the outer world. Technology had made women more independent and efficient; some women are doing work from running their small business online all thanks to technology which had made this possible. technology has made many things possible which are not seen as possible. People are understanding technology and upgrading themselves changes. But women still backward they don’t understand the features or fill the importance it because women are always said that by their men that you should look after house responsibility and they criticize women for being dumb in accessing technology it will be better that they teach women how to make the best use of it instead of making fun of them, in pandemic everything becomes online, due not having an understanding of technology or devices many women were removed from the job and some are still struggling to understand it. Even in offices employers only hire those who have the technical knowledge but this gender gap will only end when women are made to learn about technology. Women should learn coding they can join any software company or do web development courses can earn for themselves. There are now specific apps for everything women should try to know them. technology gives women a voice to express their knowledge about things and share if something is wrong happening to women. Technology has many boons and banes people have the power to decide how to use it.

Just as technology facilitates us with various functions in our daily lives, it also plays a great role in impacting the status of gender equality in our society. Nowadays several women are raising issues regarding gender equality on various social media platforms and this has only been made possible with the help of technology. Women residing in rural areas who are unable to raise their voices by joining protests are coming out through social media, speaking up against the injustices done to them and joining hands with other women virtually. They are able to connect with a large mass of people online, and convey their thoughts and opinions in all parts of the world. They are able to form a big movement online, allow women to expose the abuses faced by them and raise funds for the same.

Technology have proved to be an effective tool to raise awareness about gender equality. However, not everyone has access to it. There are a large number of women who do not own a simple smartphone. They do not have the necessary digital literacy, have less understanding of technology and have no presence on social media platforms. Lack of education, affordability and prevalence of socio- cultural norms are the key factors restriction women’s online presence. In fact, the availability of technology has it pros and cons too. When on one hand it can do wonders in reaching out to millions without having to put much efforts, on the other hand it can pose a lot of threats on women. They become an easy target for men with their online presence. Women’s ability to employ technology and social media proficiently—and protect themselves from targeted online attacks and propaganda—is a critical building block for peace and gender equality

Technology should keep on getting better and more innovative day by day. Because it’s a medium for many of us to accomplish our dreams. Dreams are just dreams and they don’t come to our minds according to our gender but our society always guides us to opt for a suitable(gender basis) career. A fruitful career is a dream of every individual and in today’s time technology is working as an aid for us. Technology plays the best role in gender equality as we can access the application and use it without mentioning our gender and even if we have to register then also it will not going to be partial to us.
As we know that every coin has its two sides similarly everything has its pros and cons. On one hand, it has helped a woman to reach the heights of success whereas, on the other hand, they get negative comments and threats for working and living a life according to their conditions. Many social media platforms let people connect and allow them to put their views forward on various topics but as I said earlier, it reaches the wrong direction sometimes.
Today also many women don’t have access to technology. They are kept away from these social platforms so that they may not grow and learn new skills and be unskilled forever. I guess men fear that if they’ll allow them, they’ll be unstoppable.
Many women are there who work online and earn while working all day at home. This increases her self confidence and makes her independent. It helps her in adverse circumstances. So technology has helped and will keep on helping everyone forever. It will make our lives better, so use it to the full extent and let everyone know about it.
For students, digital learning has helped a lot in times of the pandemic because”पढ़ेगा इंडिया तभी तो बढ़ेगा इंडिया”.
