Yes, girls and boys should be matured enough to understand such big responsibility of being married. There should be same age for marriage because may of the times we see that girls don’t get to complete their education due to marriage proposals and family forces their daughters to get married at early age. Girls wish to do their education and have to reach their goals and dreams come true and become independent before marriage. And on other side family support boys to get well educated and settle before marriage. Before marriage both men and women should be ready by mentally and physically also independent then it will be esay for both of them. Still many of women get married at early age because of which they suffer from lot of things in family in pregnancy also they has to go through many complications. At the age of 18 girls are not matured enough to handle responsibility to understand family to have that control mentally girls should not get married at the age of 18. Atleast their should 21 age for girls to get married so they can matured enough to take all the responsibilities physically and mentally. When girls get married at early age they forcefully put all the responsibility on them. It has been generalized that boys age is elder than girls age because of which society also sees like that only. Boys can marry after 30..32 because they want to settle their career than they have to get married. Than Why? Can’t girls do that same thing. Family should support girls for their career and support her to be independent it feel better for girls and be confident to take decisions. Education should be more important for both girls and boys. Boys and girls should have equal age for marriage so that their will maturity in both of them and women will not have to face mental and health problems.

Recently, the Supreme court decided to examine a plea to transfer to itself cases pending in the Delhi and Rajasthan High courts to declare a “uniform minimum age” for marriage.
The Union government has also set up a committee to reconsider the minimum age of marriage for women, which is currently 18. A bench led by the Chief Justice of India issued notice to the government on a plea, which was filed to “secure gender justice, gender equality, and dignity of women.” The plea sought direction from the Union government to remove the anomalies in the minimum age of marriage and make it ‘gender-neutral, religion-neutral and uniform for all citizens.’ Various laws state that the minimum age to get married should be 18 for women and 21 for men. The Supreme Court has the power under Article 139A to transfer to itself, cases involving the same or substantially the same questions of law pending before two or more high courts. It has been argued that the different ages marriage violated the fundamental rights. It also went against India’s commitment under the Convention on the elimination of all forms of discrimination against women.
For Hindus, The Hindu Marriage Act, 1955, sets 18 years as the minimum age of marriage for the bride and 21 years as the minimum age for the groom. However, child marriages are not illegal even though they can be declared void at the request of the minor in the marriage. In Islam, the marriage of a minor who has attained puberty is considered valid. The special Marriage Act, 1954 and the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, 2006 also prescribe 18 and 21 years as the minimum age of consent for marriage for women and men respectively.
Increasing the legal age for the marriage of Women has enormous benefits including lowering the Maternal Mortality Ratio (MMR), Improvement of nutrition levels. On the financial front, opportunities would be opened up for women for pursuing higher education and career and become financially empowered. It would in turn result in a more egalitarian society. Increasing the marriage age will push the mean marriage age higher and will lead to more females doing graduation and hence improving the female doing graduation and hence improving the female labour force participation ratio.

Everyone has right to take the decision of their own life whether it is about their career, their friendship Circle or marriage . These are the most Important and crucial decision of a person life, which he or she should be allowed to take themselves . But the situation is totally opposite, girls are not free to choose a life partner and the time she want to marry . Girl is told that you have this period of time till then you have to computer studies and other things then you will get married .
The legal age of marriage girl is 18 and for a boy it is 21 there is total three years difference in the legal age of marriage of a girl and a boy which totally indicates the difference between a man and a woman . The legal age of marriage for a girl is 18 so, after 12 the girl is forced to get married even they are not allowed to complete the graduation . If the legal age of marriage for a girls and boys will be same that is 21 then girls also get a chance to complete her graduation and stand on her own, make her different personality. So that she cannot be discriminated or violated by the family .
Even due to this age difference girls are forced to marry a man older than her at very small age. Due to this woman is not even able to understand the house work – how to handle that and how to handle the family . Only because of the stereotype of a society that women should marry a man how is older than her and man should marry a woman who is younger than her .
Heavy can consider one more reason, the people thinking that girl get matured earlier than a man which is probably not justify . The legal age for men and women matter should be equal and they should be given the right to choose their life partner.

Marriage at the right age and with the right person is important for any individual in their life. And at what age to get married is also a great concern. Just as a basic human right each person should have the right to select when to get married.
The age which is legal for boys is 21 and girls is 18, here also is a discrimination of gender just like in each and everything right from personal to professional life. Why is there so the difference in ages for girls and boys for marriage? There are many reasons for these, which can be the ancient thought and tradition which was followed before and still in continuation, many parents feel that girls are a burden and get them married at an early age, financial condition, social pressure and comparison between girls, and many think girls get matured at an early age so get them married. At the age of making her career, she is given a responsibility to manage a family.
It should be done legal that same age for both to get married, as because of differences and inequality there are also issues which women face daily. If this inequality continues then there will no change in issues faced by women, still it is observed that in rural areas girls are getting married before 18 and she discontinues their education, passion, dreams, etc.
It is indeed required by the supreme court to take some decision regarding age for both to get married because all humans are equal and should have equal rights too.
