Ofcourse, the answer is yes. For the reason that we exist in a cruel world where many girls are dealing with different types of issues very badly. It has become so important to teach every girl child of our nation how to defend themselves in a bad circumstance. Though it’s intolerant to accept, we can’t deny the fact that atleast a girl around the world, at this instant, may be undergoing something which is really worse than a death. And We could see the news of these brutal rapes, domestic violence, sexual harassment and acid attacks that are happening without an end. What’s happening with the government? Is the government taking action? Has all the victims been given justice? Definitely, the answer can’t be so convincing. Many girls out there aren’t provided with liberty just because of any useless brute who never regret in crossing his limits. Why should the girls still get panicked without attempting any mistake? I mean this is so unfair for the womenhood. And I swear if all this nonsense should meet up with an end, all the girls should make themselves ready for the fight against the evil thoughts. To seek and get favour can’t help all the time. Together, all girls should move up the power of women, a step ahead. To make all this happen, government can put hands in its best way. Government can take responsible actions by giving free classes on self-defenses for girls. Government can give priority to the issues women face. Making self-defense a compulsory sessions in schools can help the situation get better. Conducting seminars on self-defense, motivation classes to build them brave and bold are the steps educational institutions can take up in charge.Parents take up the huge responsibility to teach and educate them the importance of self-defense from childhood. They can sow the seeds of a brave and bold woman in her mind during her childhood phase. Hence I conclude by saying self-defense should be made compulsory for girls and the people around her throughour her life should teach her the importance of self-defense.

Should self-defense for girls be made compulsory?
Self defense is a series of acts which can be used to protect one’s self from any kind of harm, usually physical. In the modern era, the increasing number of crimes against women makes the need of self defense for women prominent. It is probable for a woman to be having a predator in her home or locality itself, at school, college or even in the work place, or rather in public places like shopping malls, cinemas, gyms, parks, etc. Hence, expecting the best, but preparing for the worst, women must learn self defense, thus self defense for girls be made compulsory.
Self defense does not necessarily have to be judo- karate kind of sports. It also has a lot to do with one’s body language and the way one looks. If one’s body language looks shabby and makes one look like an easy target to the attacker, the chances of being attacked are higher. Women also must be provided specific detailed knowledge and training to deal with expected situations that might arise in daily life along with the use of things we use in daily life, such as pens, bags, belts, watches, for self defense. This will not only help specially abled women, but also elderly women.
Despite a number of efforts by the government, revolutionists, feminists, activists, public figures and responsible citizens to curb crimes against women, they have all fallen null and void. The society is becoming a much more unsafe place for women to live, day by day. This will drag the human race to its doom much sooner than expected. But, to ruin ourselves, and let the criminals and predators continue to feed on our women and take control in their hands, is something we will definitely not accept. We will thrive to achieve all sorts of betterment.

The government can take the initiative to set camps for young girls, young women, middle aged women and also elderly women. Volunteers from around the globe can put in their efforts to help women learn and grow. It will not only increase their self esteem, but also change their body language and give them confidence to live securely and safely in the society. Also, private institutions, schools, colleges and office places and firms can contribute to provide self defense related education to girls and women. This is the only way to be pre-prepared for anything unfortunate to come one’s way.

We like to imagine we live in a world in which children are always protected against violence and abuse, but that’s not true. We must now face the truth that children are often assaulted and mistreated by their fragility and failure to fight. Children aged between six and seventeen frequently do not have the opportunity to respond or struggle when subjected to violence which makes physical and sexual assault simple. The psycho-social ramifications of child abuse at an early age, when children cannot fully understand what happened to them. Children have major mental disorders such as depression and anxiety. These disorders can take over the entire life of a child if left untreated. In any future relationship, children are also confronted with major problems, develop strongly ingrained trust problems which are brought into their adult lives if left unspoken. Worse still, many of the same children end up as abusers themselves after being abused or traumatized as a child. Many children have cognitive damage because of trauma, which means that the brain stops working normally. Many incidences of child abuse are not reported in a country like ours, where more often than not mistreatment and abuse are done by intimate friends or family. A recent study shows that 94.8% of rape cases showed that children were raped and not by strangers by someone they knew. Today we have to train children to defend themselves from the same adults who are supposed to care for and nurture them, it is sad that we have to face it and it is necessary. It’s time we started teaching kids how to stand up and fight, scream, yell, and do everything they deserve to feign this aggression and, as children spend much of their day at school, self-defense as a matter of fact is taken seriously up to the school.

Our country reports so many cases of assault against women every single day. Women, no matter their age, are not safe from the exploitations that are increasing day by day. Self-defence is definitely something that can help tackle this issue in some way. Women of all ages prefer to enroll themselves to learn self-defence. So that makes you wonder, should self-defence for girls be made compulsory?

The answer is a big yes! Obviously women getting assaulted is not the result of their own physical weakness, but getting self-defence training can be a very good preventive measure for their safety. It is the need of the hour that each and every woman should know how to protect herself if it ever comes to it.

So yes, self-defence should be made compulsory for women and girls of all ages, but what we shouldn’t forget is that self-defence for girls is not a solution except a mere preventive measure. The real solution to the problems that women face every single day is the disgusting mindset of the perpetrators. So the focus should be more on educating people, and making strict rules against the perpetrators of such crimes than the self-defence of the girls.

With an increase in the number of crimes against girls like kidnapping, molestation, sexual assault, the need to teach them self-defence has become a necessity rather than just an option. I believe that self defence should be a core subject in our schools just like English and maths.

Learning self-defence at an early age helps girls to ensure thier personal safety and security. Teaching your girl self- defence means allowing her to learn how to tackle an impending danger without falling in trap. Learning self- defence allows a child to be more aware of her environment, they are not only trained physically but also mentally. They are taught to deal with the unexpected, hence they are ready for anything. Not only this, but defence also a student to boost his self esteem allowing her to explore her full potential. A girl with such abilities can not only rescue herself but also help others at times of distress. A physically and mentally strong girl can protect herself from all the crimes that are associated to women.

Self defence not only raises self-assurance and confidence in children and help them under uncanny situations but also serves as a pathway to a healthy and fit lifestyle. It has becomethe basic necessities these days, considering the increasing rates of crimes against women. Schools should not merely focus on educational excellence of a child but should also prepare them for the worst. Self- defence is today’s need and it a must in our school-curriculum. So yes, I strongly believe that self-defence for girls must become compulsory.
