Pseudo feminism suggests that women are superior and believes in misandry, the hatred or dislike of men. There is a vast difference between feminism and pseudo-feminism. Feminism is that women deserve equality like any other gender while pseudo-feminism suggests that women deserve more respect and appreciation than any other gender. Pseudo-feminism is clearly toxic for our society because it believes in women’s superiority and has hatred towards other genders especially males.
Pseudo feminists want a world that is ruled solely by women and they use feminism as a tool to propagate their idea of superiority. This is a reason that many people do not support feminism and call feminism a fake movement. Therefore, there are many gender clashes because of this false portrayal of feminism in society. Pseudo feminist’s idea of feminism is completely opposite to the idea of feminism, they are ruining the purpose of the movement. A pseudo-feminist will encourage women to believe they are not equal but superior to other genders, she will call women better than men and will ridicule men when they show vulnerability. Pseudo-feminists take pride in calling men sexist but do exactly the same with men calling it their right. For instance, it’s fine for pseudo-feminists if women hit men but if a man hits a woman, he’s sexist! They consider that men can’t be feminists and the worst part is that they judge women all the time. These pseudo-feminists call women who choose to be a homemaker weak and criticize their choice. They show hatred towards men and towards real feminists. Pseudo-feminists want reservations for women in jobs and other fields. They don’t want equality of all genders and try to dominate society with their illogical views. Men become victims of pseudo-feminism and that’s why there are a lot of men who don’t speak for the feminist movement.
Pseudo-feminism is a threat to society, no matter how much we show awareness of feminism there will also be pseudo-feminists who will destroy the main purpose of feminism. We need to understand the concept of gender equality and feminism. Women deserve equality, not superiority. There is no way we can spread hate and false narrative on the pretext of feminism. We need to acknowledge that not everyone is against women’s empowerment, not everyone is anti-feminist and sexist. We also need to understand that not all women are pseudo-feminists and there are some women who believe in pseudo-feminism. Pseudo-feminism destroys the whole concept behind feminism and misguide people. Even though we have come a long way, the fight towards gaining equality will be nullified if pseudo-feminism exists in our society.When on one hand Feminism preaches equality between men and women, pseudo feminism is a believe that lashes out on men for any kind of injustices done to women. Feminism teaches us that women deserves equal rights as women whereas pseudo feminists takes a one step forward by claiming that women deserves more respect and rights than man.
People who are unaware of the real meaning of feminism often end up being a pseudo feminists.What do they actually want ?
A world ruled by women! They mock innocent men and try to resolve all injustices done on women by targeting and demeaning men. Nowadays more and more men have started becoming victims of pseudo feminism. For instance, if a woman comes out about her defamation and harassment by a man, people start blindly believing the girl without any proofs and without even letting the man speak in his defence. They start bashing the guy without listening to his part of the story.The prime aim of pseudo feminism is to consider women as a superior being and quash all men and clearly it is a threat to our society. Living in a society where women face several problems everyday, there exists some people who damage the real meaning of feminism in turn spreading hatred and discrimination among genders.
Pseudo feminism is definitely a very harmful thing for the society. Pseudo feminism works on the principle that women should be held higher in position than any other genders, and that women are superior to men. Pseudo feminism also promotes concepts such as misandry which basically means hatred towards men. While pseudo feminism is definitely a threat to the feminist movement, a question that I often find asking myself is whether pseudo feminism exists on as wide scale as people perceive it to be.
We live in a society in which majority of people don’t even know what feminism is, how it works, and what it aims to achieve. But if people don’t know what feminism is, how come they are so quick in differentiating between the real feminism and pseudo feminism? And how can their judgement even be deemed valid if they don’t even know the concept of feminism?
It is very common to find people who’ll accuse you of hating men when you are literally just talking about women’s rights, and nothing you said had to do with men. People often feel that someone is hating or discriminating against men just because men were not even talked about in a conversation that centres around women’s rights? Why do men have to be centre of every discussion? They don’t.
So my opinion is, while pseudo feminism is definitely harmful to society, but we do need to understand and come to terms with the fact that majority of people don’t even actually know what pseudo feminism is. They just want to hamper the feminist movement in one way or the other.
Pseudo Feminism means that women are superior to any other gender or women deserve more respect in simple terms it stands for all the injustice against women and demean men. Pseudo Feminists desire to create a world ruled by women alone. Moreover it states that men can’t be raped, abused or molested. Feminism contrary to that States that no sex should be treated with injustice and all should be treated equally.
Pseudo Feminism is a great threat to society as the social media today is ruining the concept of Feminism by talking about the concept with zero basic knowledge of the same and they end up being pseudo feminist. Pseudo Feminism is all around us hiding behind feminism and failing to understand that Feminism is all about equality and not about superiority of women over men.
